I don't expect this on to score very high, because I'm not really happy with it. (the photo I mean, the pie was OK)

Ingredients:
5 leaves of puff pastry
250 gr of bacon (in pieces)
2 leeks in rings
3 eggs
250 ml cream
150 gr crumbled cheese (old dutch)

Preparation:
preheat the oven at 200 C
put the pastry in the (fattened) pie shape
bake the bacon in 4-5 minutes
get the bacon out of the pan
bake the leek rings in the bacon fat (5 minutes)
Mix the eggs with the cheese, the bacon, the leek rings and some pepper.
Put this mix in the pie shape
Let it bake for 25-30 minutes in the oven
After that, let it rest for 10 minutes

Have a good meal!

Note: this is a very quick translation, hope it make any sense.

I think this shot might have worked out better if you had reflected some light into the inside of the pie, giving it a bit more life. : )

This is too sharp (bet you thought you'd never hear that one...huh?).
The current style of food photography rarely if ever has everything in focus. If the food image is being used to idendentify specific product such as, a spice, an herb, a fish or utensil, etc. only then is sharp focus necessary. Otherwise full dof food images went out with Betty Crocker Cookbooks in the 1970/s/80's. Cheers!

Having said that, this will probably place better than my shot.

a coloured background or plate would've helped it pop more, but still looks good. I'm back for the recipe later! 7
