Thanks a lot voters and thanks for the comments did'nt know this would've done so well :) :) :) I could'nt even check it last night because the cable modem was down.
To answer hannah's question, it is a long exposure. I illuminated the wreck with a spotlight flashlight, moving it left to right. The ole painting with light trick :)

This is a very evocative, emotive scene. I think you did a wonderful job on the PP. Very well deserved ribbon......IMNSHO it should have scored higher. Nicely done!

Way to go david ... congrats on the ribbon, and a nice fresh look at one of your old subjects (at least I'm assuming its that same beached ship you've shot before).

The only bit of constructive criticism I can offer is that I think this image would have popped just a little bit more if it had been shot with a Pentax. :>P

I think this is a stunning photo of a totally dead ship.

I personally think this might look nice if it were a little darker and/or had more contrast. I'm not sure how you took this shot though (long exposure?) and perhaps that would be to difficult to achieve.

The desat gives it a kind of mysterious glow. I do kinda wonder what it looks like in straight B&W.
