this used to be my room, till i moved out of it. my mom is really into decorating, so a new empty room for her was like a dream come true. she likes old antique stuff, thats how our whole house is decorated.

But now whenever i enter this room, i feel weird, and it gives me the creeps. a big empty bed with no-one to sleep in it. creeps me out. (and thus-fear)

editing:

filter from exposure - b/w film, green only

It does give off a sense of fear. This reminds me of a Disney princess trapped in her castle. :)

I swear that looks like the height is much greater than 6 feet! Really cool perspective.

Wow. The whole feel of the photo is so dark! (I mean that in a good way)

I loooooooove this room! I want a bed like that lol. i know I'm not supposed to say that because of the effect you are trying to create but it really is a gorgeous set-up. :D Great lighting and also nice job with conveying the emotion here too. Overlay is perfect for this.

Another very powerful shot, you really are insperational : ) Love the editing and the way you use the quilt to cover you, as children do, as if the quilt will protect you...

Okay... This is great! You managed to use all of the "distracting patterns and shapes" to your benefit here. You're "lost" in this maelstrom of chaos - and that's exactly what it looks like you were trying to present with your pose & emotion. Amazing lighting and PP work too. Wow...

I saw this last night :) am now back to comment! I think your expressions in your photographs really make them what they are. Your face conveys everything the photo is trying to say. Would you give us one without a title and let us name it? See if everyone comes up w/the same thing? :) Might be worth a try lol

Truly magnificent image. Love everything about it. Tones, angle, your look, your mother's good taste, and that quilt is fab.

As usual, the photograph is wonderful, the composition perfect.. the bedspread seems perfectly used and positioned in the frame to add texture, an interesting element, and even drama.. it's lovely.. but not only that, your drawing is AWESOME! :D

This is really great! The antiquey (new word) room really make this feel creepy. And the Angle you shot from has made the bed look super huge. Again the processing is awesome and just makes the image.

Fear your Mom's obsession with decorating empty rooms! :P
I LOVE THIS! What do you do - glue your camera to the ceiling??
