Oh, what a shame!! This photo is amazing! I'm so sorry about that date thing! DARN!

Congratulations on ending up with a FABULOUS shot for your portfolio -- one you will be showing off long after this challenge has been forgotten!

They probably were confused and thought they were voting in Black & White Abstract! LOL!

Really a great shot....sorry about your DQ.

oh nooooooooooooooooooooos... bummer!

Check your camera settings. Maybe it's just a daylight savings time issue where your camera didn't jump forward in March. Will it fall back in Nov.?

09/03/2008 08:50:44 PM
Im confused, I took this after midnight on the 20th, which was the start date... Thats still technically the 20th.
09/03/2008 08:47:11 PM
Too bad about the dq. Nice shot.
09/03/2008 08:07:20 PM
Yeesh! Too bad on the dq.

Another star shooter! I love this, it's a wonderful capture and very well staged. Congrats on your blue ribbon!
09/03/2008 03:41:33 PM
I have to disagree with the person who said that this doesn't get the feel of "less traveled" across. When you really stop and think of the time that you laid perfectly still in the road and had the camera there as well... well, I think you would have had to have been sure it was less traveled!!! This doesn't even take into effect the desolate feel of the photo alone! Great pic. My fav.
09/03/2008 02:10:31 PM
Superb! I like it. =)
09/03/2008 12:34:14 PM
Congratulations! You definitely deserve the ribbon!
09/03/2008 10:21:07 AM

Just about. I could see the orange haze in the distance from the city.

excellent job! congrats on the blue!

Seriously I pisses me off to see such a wonderful photo get 6 votes 3 and less,
It would kill the score, fortunately it didn`t do that in your case, but it still pisses me off `` excuse my French ``.
Congratulation on a very well deserved award, and for those 6 Photogs .. well I am sure they got the message,
Cheers,

i loved this shot, and love seeing it on the front page. Sick, congrats on your 1st ribbon.

Nicely captured! Love the cloud movement; adds a nice dynamic element to the composition.

Beautiful sky. I wish I could have shared that moment. Not lying down on the road part, that is.
09/01/2008 11:51:23 PM
did this really adhere to basic editing rules?

if so well done!
09/01/2008 10:51:31 PM
Very nice exposure. The stars add a nice touch.

08/30/2008 10:16:52 PM
Wow! Perfect 10.
08/30/2008 04:39:19 PM
wow!! I'm sure you have a ribbon with this one! 10 and fav
08/30/2008 12:32:39 PM
You know, it's a 10 of a photo and very eye appealing. Excellent photography work and execution. I just don't feel it truly conveys the idea of 'Less Traveled'. You know what? I was going to score it 9 but I have a feeling your photo will win over the dpc'ers and why fight it? 10 and I think you've got the Blue.
08/29/2008 01:19:33 PM
Not BAd!
08/29/2008 10:12:17 AM
Wow!! seem like advaced editing..welldone
08/29/2008 08:36:32 AM
Fantastic. There's so much in this photo without it being too busy or cluttered. The colours are beautiful and the image is razor sharp.
08/28/2008 10:30:35 PM
This is a fantastic shot! In my opinion this could have been a ribon contender, however I think the person and the van will take away from it. Otherwise... I really love this shot!
08/28/2008 08:43:26 PM
I think this is a beautiful shot, I wonder what the outtakes look like? This is a winner for me. 10
08/28/2008 11:13:14 AM
Haha, this is fantastic!!
08/28/2008 10:46:01 AM
Nice posing :P
That's one beautiful evening sky you've got there, the centered road and the scenery add to it by being subtle, but not overdone.
08/27/2008 10:23:37 PM
My fave to win.
08/27/2008 07:25:44 PM
Fantastic!

08/27/2008 03:12:47 PM
haha, wow I hope he lived! I like the overal color scheme with the cool color of the sky and the warm colors of the cliffs and yellow line.
08/27/2008 09:31:54 AM
On the assumption this is basic-editing legal, I gotta say you've created a masterpiece. It's pretty bizarre as a take on the topic, like you're coming at it from some strange angle, but dang it's lovely :-)
08/27/2008 12:38:00 AM
Beautiful, funny, and figurative! That could be me - I spend hours staring up at the stars when I get the chance.
08/27/2008 12:19:47 AM
this is just awesome... has to ribbon... tones just look so great, 10
08/27/2008 12:07:43 AM
