The eyes don't seeem to be saying "Pride" to me, maybe my cats have had different expressions. But you managed to get a good exposure on a black cat!

Nice macro shot. If you'd been able to capture more of the green in the eyes, that would have been an amazing looking photo. 7 mcrael

Knowing my cat as I do, it seems this cat is just saying "when are you going to get that silly thing outta my face". Anyway, the image seems a little flat. Maybe too harsh of lighting and sharpening. It looks better in the thumbnail version.

By far the best of the cat pics this week. I can actually feel what it portrays, whereas the rest are all rather lame (unfortunately). 7/10

Pride maybe. Looks more like anger to me. Anyway I like it, - 8 /Carsten

10/15/2002 10:57:00 PM

This is superb. I am not much into using animals as metophore in this challenge until this one. Thank you for expanding my attitude. I just love it!
10/15/2002 12:53:00 AM

Great macro shot.
10/14/2002 10:43:00 AM
Do cats really have the ability to be proud...I don't think so this seems to be an emotion reserved for mankind. interesting photo but it doesn't say "pride" to me.
10/14/2002 10:24:00 AM
Not pride, or at least not obvious that it's pride. Perhaps it's distain. Just a cat with light in its eyes.
10/14/2002 05:39:00 AM
Very nice shot, but I don't think that animals can commit sin. I believe that the 7 deadly sins are specific to people, and for me, animals do not convey or portray deadly sin. lhall
