Many thanks Nathan for your good critique and kind words. You ask for an advice and I think the only advice I can give is the importance of giving yourself a good time for every shot. The quality is more important than quantity. Thanks again :~) |

| I really like this shot. My only suggestion (this is minor) is if you had waited (I know not always possible) and shot this with a small apeture say f22 the sun would have been a shade lower and you would have had a lovely star effect to enhance the scene. |

Lovely color and silhouette... I wish the sun weren't there like a horse potty, though... LOL! But, Whatchagonnado? :) No points off for it, of course. This is tied for my top two.

Gorgeous. Many photos like this are usually taken quickly, without much thought to the dynamics as a whole, but it looks to me like you took a little bit of time to get this right. The setting sun is in a wonderful position, and serves to highlight the silhouette instead of working against it.
I'm not a horse fan, but something like this transcends. |

Fantastic sihlouette and beautiful colours in the sky. The horse is well posed as you can see it clearly, where as if you had taken it front on there would have just been a dark blob.. : )

| Lovely hues and tones in the sunset which acts as a wonderful backdrop to the main subject: the silhouette of this wild pony/horse. I love how you can see the details of the silhouette elements not only in the wisps of hair of the mane but also the reeds on the hillside. Love the mood you captured here as well. Because of the setting sun, the dark hues and the horse in silhouette it creates a mood of feeling lonely - 'another day has passed and I still stand alone' is the feeling that this composition projects to me. Wonderful job 8. |
