I love this image but think that it is very moving. so would that still be considered immovable?..............just joking Congrats on the star for your first challenge and welcome to DPC!

Thanks for all the comments! I was going for ambivalence with this photo, and I got the mixed feelings. Also, I didn't expect to be among the first 10 with this. I'm gobsmacked really.

To get an idea what I was photographing go to //www.flickr.com/photos/carlosferrer/sets/72057594135255515 on my Flickr.

The how-to was easy, I bent really low to get the background nicely clean. Alas, the burning was unavoidable, since I had only basic equipment and was on a schedule (model, rain). Even the compensation in Lightroom didn't change that.

P.s. Will anyone PM me on how to change my "Photographers Comments"? Tks.
P.p.s. Thanks for the tips, something's not right on my side, don't see the mentioned "edit" possiblility in the Photo Description ... a, well.

Looks more like a love story between a human and an immortal. A little bright in the upper left background, and a little centered. But love the clouds the pose and the costumes.

Theres such an ethereal quality to this photo..although I don't quite get what the other person/thing is supposed to represent. Love the clouds in the background though!

The streaked light from the sun works well on her, and I also presume the softness of her features in interional (and works). The streaked light on his?? chest though jusmps out and is distracting, like it puts a barrier between the two of them.......

Hmmm, Ghostly my Angle. I like the almost 3d effect created by the swirl of colour in the centre. I can see another "How'd they do that" coming up.

I love the contrast of the beautiful woman, flowers, clouds and sun with whatever it is she's trying to bring with her. I'm not sure the intent of it though or what it is. First I thought it was Death bringing her away. Then I thought she was taking some beast or monster, but I guess it's some statue. The lens flair adds to the ethereal look.

This is indeed an odd photo. It's pretty and disturbing all at the same time. Almost looks like she's with The Mummy!

I'm not sure I get the relationship to the challenge..might just be me. I really like the photograph though, especially how they're above the clouds. I like the feeling that this evokes.

Nice idea, hope others see it that way. Could have posed the model to look more like she is pulling him - would help with those that might say this DNMC.

Great shot, but I feel it is a bit overexposed. That is the only detraction in my mind. Great great shot

This image confuses me, but the angelic model above the clouds is very captivating.

I have to give you credit. This pic was well done. The background, The dress, The hair and the look on her face. Well done.

wow... this has a really strange feel to it. She's like an angel and her expression seems real to me. I like it a lot though I think the editing could be reworked some. I think the composition is kind of like a snapshot and the figure could have been made a little darker to hide some of the grain and provide more contrast (but with everyone having different monitors, maybe it looked like that to you, it's happened to me before!)

This is in top 3 if you ask me. A great composition. I would like to know where it was shot though... the clouds towards the bottom of the image are powerful subjects in the background.
