 I found this statue in my parents backyard. It was placed there when my Uncle passed away and I found it quite expressive. I shot it in Manual, with an Aperture of F4.5 and an iso of 200 at a focal length of 55mm. The shutter speed was 1/800. It was converted from raw, saturated, adjusted contrast, and cropped.

I like the shot but since it's such a tight crop, it's hard to really get that you're going for a shallow DOF.

Nice colour and light, but a garden ornament isn't a very exciting subject. Maybe an extreme close up of it would have made for an interesting study in textures?
