Took my girls to school, had Melissa stand in the background, Ellie in the foreground. Set them up, took a couple of shots, straightened, cropped, adjusted brightness and contrast just a touch and there you have it.

We had a lot of fun taking this shot and I don't expect to do well at all with it but that's okay because we had fun time and Ellie really likes the idea of being able to SQUASH her BIG sister :)

Thank you everyone for your great comments! We had a lot of fun taking this picture. I will be posting a shot of the girls, actual size on my PBase account soon and link it so everyone can see. I focused on the green grass between the girls, set the camera on automatic and got really lucky!

Thank you everyone for your votes!

I'm really curious to know how you managed to get that kind of DOF at F2.8? How far apart were the sisters? Great image and execution, and congrats on your best placement yet.

Nothing to nitpick, really, except for the "crease line" in grass across the middle of the picture. I guess it couldn't be helped. Perfect positioning and great acting by the adorable models. Overall, an excellent image!

I lke less: The format, the bottom part could be cropped.

Can't believe anyone asked for a validation.......despite complaints from some that we would see a lot of these shots, I think no-one could argue that this isn't a great example. Well done for the set up

Cut e best one of this type I have seen yet.

Ok I thought this was a cut and paste job but it has been validated so I guess it is ok. Humourous but it looks like a cut and paste job even if it isn't so it loses the dramatic impact.

Good idea, but the line in the grass is distracting. Also, there are a few resizing artifacts visable.

I think it's the outline created during the sharpening that caused someone to think little sister was pasted into the picture. Nicely set up and captured. Hope this does well for you Deannda.

I like this photo very much and feel it fits the challenge. It's well composed to get the desired effect and has a bit of humor to it. I like the foreground girl's shirt color and the vibrant color of the grass in contrast to the figures. I wish the background girl didn't have her hands so close to her face and I could see her a little better.

Clever use of forced perspective and you did it right by keeping the background very simple. I like the color contrasts. I'm a little suspicious of that line that intersects the frame about two-thirds up but it looks like it could just be the line of shadow from a hilly landscape.

Very good capture of this concept which can sometimes go terrible...only problem here is the line going across the center.

Nicely done forced perspective. Seems a little over sharpended as evident in the pixelation of the girl's extended arm and the brights in the grass.
