I like this because unlike some of the other shots you really are using shallow DOF. My thoughts would be you could have eliminated most of the black on the sides and went really tight one the spiders legs. Just a thought.

The crop is a little weird. I would like the image taller with more of the spider... 6

I don't think the narrow crop is good for this image. I'd like to see the whole spider. The faint lines of the web are nice, but they also feel cut off (unresolved) at the top.

Not too comfortable with the way you cropped. I am sure you had your reasons.
I would recommend more crop on the left, a little less crop on the right is fine. The top & bottom is cropped too tight

I like it, just not crazy about the negative space combined with this particular crop ratio.

Good focus on its eyes. My grandson (11) wants to make a career of this sort of photography and has just been given a good digital camera. I'll have to see that he sees this - therefore I am adding it to my favorites.
