Challenge: Bummer! (Basic Editing)
Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D
Location: Goose Creek, SC
Date: Sep 22, 2008
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/100
Date Uploaded: Sep 21, 2008

This is a 12MP Kodak broken POS P&S that will not save a picture even in the rare instance that it stays on long enough to get your finger from the power button to the shutter release. Figured it would come in handy as a paperweight at best, but I think this is a much better fate for it! Hope this does well, and I know many of you can relate. :)

Would have been more impressed if it was a brand new dSLR. ;-)

But seriously, a beautiful picture. How do you get is so clear and sharp (and glass reflections) in the water?

Guess you wasted a ten thinking this was Irene's shot. Before long, so many people will be doing water shots, no one will know who's is who's and level the playing field. What a rip.

i've dropped two cellphones in the water, but not the camera yet; have had a few close calls wherein i would have, if necessary, broken a hip in order to catch it before it fell over into the river; congrats on a very well deserved win!!

Congrats on your ribbon! Very nicely executed and well deserved.

Fortunately, I haven't had this happen...yet. But everytime I lean over a body of water to capture an image the thought does enter my mind (not into camera staps).

So did you point your camera and shoot this P&S?
We all point and shoot, it's what goes on in our heads and all the preparation before and processing after that counts.
