Cool, a top 10. I was just playing around taking shots of bees when I realised that if I could get one in flight it might do ok in this challenge (kind of like hummingbirds for those of us that don't have hummingbirds). This is a very severe crop, almost 1:1.

Ohmy! What a fabulous photo! I have chased bees around I bet a total of a hundred hours, but it is so HARD to get them in focus while they are in flight. BRAVO!! This is absolutely flawless. And congratulatios on 7th place -- but 6.2??? Way too low! :)

wow those flowers look really cool! great capture of the bee as well, those little dudes are certainly workers in my opinion, although im sure other will think this is dnmc
