So mom2two and myself, got together and had a fun little photoshoot with our kids. At first is is quite difficult for two 10 year olds to actually have to 'pretend act' together without giggling. But then they got into it and they did GREAT!! It was a fun day for the kids and for us. Yeah!!

[Oct. 6th, 2008 10:37:01 AM]

In addition, I found research on Little Briar Rose and Sleeping Beauty that were both written by the Grimms Brothers. Hence, the two titles to cover myself.

Jennifer, how FUN! And of course as is typical with your photography, it is enchanting and beautiful beyond belief. Your daughter is just an unbeleivable model -- but of course she has an unbelievable photographer :)

Thanks for the comments. I reduced noise twice in photoshop, then history brushed back over the models. That is it for the background.

Your location, models and costumes are brilliant, and your photo does it equal justice. One of the strongest shots in the challenge, imo.

Beautiful shot. I really like how the forest in the background looks ethereal. Looks also like the little girl would have made a great Rapunzel with that super long hair ;)

Hmmm beautiful image and setting. But your subjects are sooo young that I find it hard to see them as lovers/a prince suitor...

Great processing!

Very lovely. The boy's shoulder tends to blend in with the background and cuts off some of the viewer's view of the entire shape of his cape

Adorable. I recall when I was 7 and in first grade, the teacher made me portray Snow White in a play which was kind of fun except for the kiss part. Seven-yr olds aren't too keen on kissing, LOL. 10

You arranged this scene in a really classic sort of way. Very well done. The emerald greens of the forest and the gnarled old tree form a fantastic backdrop and the carpet of forest moss upon which they are seated adds to the overall sphere of enchantment. Your exposure was spot-on with nice shadows and details and the whites of the sleeping beauties dress are testimony to this. You achieved a nice and natural softness to the tones and colours.
