I'm pretty sure I will be punished for doing a different approach to this challenge but HEY! so what.

This IS suburbia, granted it has now transformed into a very nice part of town but it is still suburban life. This used to be a working class area, (still is really) I did not want to do the obvious rows of council houses and back gardens riddled with poverty blah blah blah. To me, the bit about suburbia here is the repeating of things in a row, this case, the trees. Suburbia has rows of similarities.

est score - 5.7
dream score - if it gets over 6.3 I will be very happy

post challenge*
WOW I'm officially VERY HAPPY, Enzo, I take heed to your words mate and I better stop trying to guess my scores.

Even at 6.7 I never had this pegged as a ribbon there was some awesome shots in this one.

The place is The Broadway Letchworth and is a haven for the businessman who keeps the wife and 2.5 kids at home and hits the city by train to pay for it all.

Thanks for the ribbon, it's been a while.

Congrats on this shot. Can't add much else to my comment during challenge voting.

I did, however question the entry at first. I looked at the left hand side and saw a street and had to wonder whether this was the burbs or a city park. However, I did think about it and figured that there are parks in suburbia.

Good going and congrats on the ribbon! Well done:)

Not unpleasant, if slightly orthodox, exactly-what-you'd-expect kind of shot. I wonder if you might not have strengthened the tonality of the hanging leaves a little, they seem a touch washed-out for impact. Strong sense of composition, however.

Nice image - Like the soft tones and the wonderful leaves. Find that moving a little right would have stopped the person from blending in with the posts which are a little distracting - I know it;s not always possible but I think the young guy in sports wear doesn't do this justice with the wonderful old feel to this and mature trees. Just seems like an older person wearing a coat or something would have been just a little more fitting.Nice lighting too.
