A rather belated comment and suggestion! I think this is a great image but a bit dark, I have found that shooting birds and wildlife an iso of 200 or higher is better! since I started doing it my pics are much sharper.

would have been nice if the beak had been in the DOF, other than that I think this photo is pretty amazing. It is a great capture of a most majestic raptor.
