 Not expecting much from this one; probably a lot of negative comments on the processing, oversharpening, slight posterization etc. ... but whaddaya gonna do. Quick trip out to the marsh where I had about a half hour to shoot before the birds left. Extreme crop of pic shot with my 300mm manual focus legacy lens, down to the two birds that were in the focus plane at f/7.1. Guessing about a 5.5, possibly a lot lower.

This looks like a painting. I struggle with these images that look less like a photo than a piece of digital art. It is nice to look at and it meets the challenge.

I notice some jpg artifacts around the body of the bird. Rather distracting.
