The Image: Went to the zoo and took about 400 lion and tiger shots and only a few of this snake. I like the eye contact...Macro through glass

The Edit: USM, Levels, some d and b, contrast, that's about it...

The Prediction:
No more guesses from me as I have bombed out in a few of my latest entries...

[Oct. 21st, 2008 06:57:50 PM]

On Wednesday: It's amazing how this image started life at around the 5.1's 5.2's, and slowly crept up to 6.4's where it is at the moment. It won't win anything, but the voting trends have been interesting. They start really low, go up, then fall a bit, then come up a bit at the end. It has been more of a roller coaster than normal. I am happy with this score at the moment. I wish the nose of this snake was in focus. YES it is a ZOO, but 95% of the shots are from the Zoo. This is wildlife in captivity.

I guess this will finish in the top 20 at around 6.5XXX

I thought this was done in a zoo - but I am not a purist (evidenced by my shot) and loved this one too.

Beautiful greens, really eye-catching. That one strip of bright green above his head is a wee bit distracting. The sharpness on the texture is great.

Great shot. Almost get a feeling of being hypnotised if I look at it too long. Lovely detail in the emerald green scales.

I would like to see more clarity of the head rather than the bottom of the photo. Love your choice though.

IMO DOF seems just a tad off, the tip of his nose seems to be a little oof, could just be my eyes though. Nice colors & a neat pose! I'm curious to see if this was found in it's nature habitat, will check back after voting is finished :)
