With that lens you could have achieved a better image i'm sure. Can't really tell where the focus point is. I would have chosen a bigger aperture and focused on the coins. This would have made the bullion blurry and given this shot an overall more interesting feel.

Thanks for the comments. The quality of the photo suffered when I converted in PS to a smaller size file. I was in a rush and did it on my laptop last minute before posting it. I noticed it as soon as I received the comment from smudgeSMJ. Others also commented on the same issue and I am very unhappy with myself.

Thanks for the comment on the composition and background. I agree in hindsight.

it may not be, but to my eye there is some softness in the focus. Also the gold on gold doesn't drive the image either....maybe a black background??

appears Grainy and out of focus, also appears to be a low resolution image blown up to a larger size.

Where did you get that? Nice shot, little soft (maybe because of noise removal).

horizon tilt makes it look like gold going to slide off the screen! well lit, nice dof and focus.

The quality of the image is very bad and the the idea and how the objects are places isn't so good

Nothing really feels like the focus of this shot to me. The pixels also appear really big as if it were blown up from a really small pic. I also think that a different color for the background would have made the gold pop more.
