Paper clips stuck into a rusty grille over security glass. Diffuse sunlight at a sharp angle; macro mode, but auto-focus and auto-exposure.

Cropped, slight rotation, tone curve, reduced, sharpened. Added border of 3px + about 8 pixels feathered to tone down the distraction of the two brightest spots in the lower left, and to make the top fade out completely into "the distance."

There is a lot to like here. The expanse of the grate creates the illusion of open sea as does the remarkable texture and colors of the material beneath. I wish there were more focus on the nearest part of the iron and that the paper clips were replaced with others that had more the appearance of a ship at sea.

i like this but i think a shot a little further back would have been better so you can really make out the water below.

this is a cool pattern. neat silver in the underside, the pin doesnt need to be there, and theres hardly any rust shown.
