 Ahh, this was the first time this season I got out to photograph borealis, and that´s over a month later than I did last season, this is only taken at the 30th of October! Me and Indridistefans went for a short drive up into Bláfjöll, he´s actually photographed and entered a shot of this hill in a challenge in the past, I haven´t. It´s really more of a hill than a mountain but the shape of it hides the true scale.



We took a couple of shots, drove a little bit further and then just hit a wall of fog so the trip was cut short but it felt good to get out.

Thx for the faves, comments and votes, didn´t really expect this one to score so high. The new cam totally blows the 5D out of the water with these kind of settings so I can´t wait to go out again!

This is just stunning. It may be my favourite Icelandic landscape yet. What magnificent clarity... I love it. Congrats on the Top 10 !

Do you ever get tired of hearing "WOW!" Sorry. It is involuntary and can't be helped. I'm speechless, and so glad we get to be close enough virtually to see the Iceland Northern Lights. This one is exceptional!

Incredible! Almost looks surreal. Love the aurora and stars. Extremely sharp with great contrasts.
