taken about an hour after sunset, with the moon behind the clouds. the moving clouds gave a fantastic effect. there is only a touch of added saturation. the moonlight does most of the work.

PP - rotate, crop, Noise Ninja. shadows/highlights. cloned out a few hot pixels and dust spots. curves layer. hue/sat layer. resize, USM. another dose of Noise Ninja (I had to sacrifice some detail in the foreground for smoothness in the sky since I couldn't selectively edit). added border, save for web.

post-voting - I just noticed I spelled my title wrong! what was I thinking?

Congrats Steve! Fine shot. Must have been dark when you shot this judging by the 129s exposure.

The motion in the clouds is really fun. But it leads my eye to the horizon, which looks tilted to me. I always have a hard time with shots that are only slightly tilted because I can't tell if it's intentional and it makes me cock my head when I look at it.

love the clouds, how long of an exposure was this? the whole picture overall looks a tad bit blurry, maybe too much neat image or motino blur? 6

The cloud movement gives a surreal sense of movement that draws the viewer in. Perhaps a bit underexposed for my likes.

JD? Nice detail on the foregournd rocks and a fantastic sky to pull it together. On second look I don't think it is Jdannels... The spot of lighthouse doesn't look west coast to me. Good luck.

very nice sky, it looks like a lighthouse or something on the far left, that may have added some more interest if it was more involved in the composition.
