What's the trick? You seem to be the only one scoring consistently high with the F828. Is there a trick to using this camera well, or that not many site members have them or what? I ask because I am currently feeling like buying one.

Incredible texture! Hard to beleive you can't reach out and touch it. Nice composition too! The diagonal chain really adds interest against the vertical boards.

Anyone see the word on the lock?

Great photo, I'd love to see a re-edit of this with less sharpening.

great shot. you amaze me with the simplicity and perfection of the clarity of your shots and composition- so much so that I often think, how will jjbeguin approach this challenge. If that is not a compliment, what is?

Thanks too all for the votes and comments.
Edited this one on a tired old screen, did not realize how oversharpened it was until recently. Looked just fine to me then.

it's not that this picture is amazingly original, but somehow it immediately caught my eye. Maybe it's the colour monochromity that struck me or the sharpness (on the edge though!). I think this is a schoolbook example of well spotted how nature composed a perfectly nice picture, with a little help from mankind!

This image has my favorite quality - reward for a secnod glance. So much detail in the wood, the assorted hardware, and yet the image isn't cluttered at all. I also like the lock / chain being off-center. I enjoyed this one!

Really nice title. Perhaps there's a touch too much adjustment on the saturation. Awesome wood texture, nicely balanced composition. I think this should do well.

Great composition and striking image. The black holes in the door/wall give your picture an element of mystery. Good luck!

This is my favourite photo for this challenge, I think it is awesome! I personally would have cropped it in a little from the left to take out that prominent vertical line of the edge of the wood, the darkness of it tends to pull at my eye. However it isn't anything major and I still gave it a 10.

Well done! I love the texture and detail in this. The rust looks a little surreal on my monitor and, I suspect, results from pushing the levels a bit much. Still, a nice and evocative photo. Good luck!

Yep this ones the winner for me. The timber and the rusted iron really complement each other, and the nice diagonal line works well.
