i'm in flickr as well and today found this competition going in a group called man ray .. basically for surreal sort'v stuff ..
you had to use the globe from paul grand in your image ..
the photograph of the butterfly was taken on the 18th, so i hope its ok for our slice of life .
and the original butterfly shot for Zozu9 in Flickr

brandi bs-photos asked how long it took to process this butterfly ..
i cant remember exactly, but not much more than a couple of hours if that ..

this is another one i did with the globe for the same competition which took a full day to process ..

and another one i did coz you could enter three in the comp .. all incorporated the globe ..

Now that is a splendid idea! The map of the world as the wings of this butterfly! Life well traveled/hope (butterfly symbology) travels the world/it's a small world - so many layers of meaning can be drawn from this composition.

Now that is unbelievably cool - and a great title.

One of my favourite aspects of this was that I had to open it and look to see what you had done - a delight of subtlety and surrealism.

I don't know how you did this, but it's awesome. Really fascinating and perfect application of the globe. Lovely work from you as always! Your ability with that 100mm totally amazes me.

Excellent overlay Rozy - a very well travelled butterfly by the look of it. Nice3 range of colours through this shot.
