Post Challenge: Thank you all for the comments and my first RED ribbon! I am truly speechless.

I had to get special permission to shoot inside the Museum, which is on the College of William & Mary campus. I tried to be as inconspicuous as possible with my tripod and little model. The lighting was challenging, to say the least. This is an exhibit of paintings of the Italian countryside from the 17th century, taken by Dutch artists from the Golden Age. It was a beautiful exhibit to see (and photograph). Special thanks to Amy Gorman, Curator of Education at the Museum for her help in allowing me to capture this photograph.

Adorable! Great colors and composition. I would have liked to see some of the highlighting from sharpening to be fixed up (esp the girl's shoulder) Congrats on the ribbon!

very well done, lighting needs to improve, but it's a museum, can't do much with the light.

Very nicely composed, but does the encroaching darkness mean something? The sepia tone along with the shadows seeping in from above (an unnatural direction) and the extremely bold shapes and lines create an imposing, almost threatening, mood. A brighter (emotionally) scene may help to convey the discovery associated with art appreciation, but instead I question whether she is lost or otherwise in danger. Very dramatic, but I can't determine your intention. I guess it may be the title that's throwing me.
