"Daedalus fashioned a pair of wings of wax and feathers for himself and his son. Before they took off from the island, Daedalus warned his son not to fly too close to the sun, nor too close to the sea. Overcome by the giddiness that flying lent him, Icarus soared through the sky curiously, but in the process he came too close to the sun, which melted the wax. Icarus kept flapping his wings but soon realized that he had no feathers left and that he was only flapping his bare arms. And so, Icarus fell into the sea in the area which bears his name, the Icarian Sea near Icaria, an island southwest of Samos."

This just goes to show how important a title can be. I admit to being a bit put off until I read the title. Very nice. 7

I don't think that this shot is going to get the credit it deserves. I know it is very difficult to freeze a butterfly in flight, particularly with such strong composition and beautiful tones. It s even backlit to boot! A very rare 10 from me.

Intriguing shot - a little too sharp but definitely memorable. Like the subdued colour, although that highlight feels just too obtrusive and it would have been more atmospheric to have a perfect exposure and fairly dim mood.
