This is a barrel in my front yard that we use to plant flowers in in the summer time. I upped the contrast, lowered the brightness and then upped the saturation a bit. It is resized, but uncropped.

I really like the variety of textures in the shot. I would've liked a little more depth of field but very nice.

I like the colors and composition a lot. The flower is a tad bright though, as you stated. :) Nice job!

very nice. I like to see color, especially green, being used in this contest. the rust and wood texture work well together too. nature is thriving here and the more man-made the elements in the picture the more they are decomposing (rust).

Subtle. Pretty. Nice colors and lines. I like the single 'flower'. Nice shot.

Great detail and colors. I like the way this is composed - the rusty band is a great compliment to the image.

depth of field is too shallow, more of the subject should be in focus, nice colors

Nicely done. The green grass and the gray wood really look nice together. IMO the yellow flower is overexposed.

Lovely photo, but I don't think the rust comes across as being the focal point of the pic. 6

this would have been and incredible shot if you could see more of the metal ring on the barrel

lighting not so good - teh dandelion is blown out and the rusty barral stay is too dark.

great shot

The photography is good, I just am not too intrigued by the subject. A little more depth of field would not have hurt, the light is present, and the dandelion might have offered some interest.

This scene is very quaint. Lighting needs a little work though. The hot highlights on the leaves need to be gotten under control. It would have been very charming if the yellow flower wasn't blown out and in focus.

Good colors, but there is a spo ton the flower and on a couple of blades of grass that are too hot on my monitor. The actual rusted object is almost too dark to tell it is rusted, and is a bit out of focus. I can't help but think a different angle with the flower contrasting against the rust would have helped the shot.

I enjoy the saturation of the grass in this picture. However, the yellow flower seems a bit over exposed and lacks detail. Good shot Regardless.
