 i've spent the entire day processing insects .. this was therefore a pleasure to do ..
this is ali, my daughter, last night getting ready to go out for dinner with friends for her birthday .. she turned 20 on the 1st december .. orlando bloom's on the wall & so is katee on the beach as a very young pup ..
her legs are actually quite thin, the 10-22mm makes them longer and chunky ..

abbreviated processing .. scaled up background and duplicated that layer .. turned duplicated layer into a line drawing, created a mask and erased parts of the line drawing so the scaled up background would show thru .. used a couple of my photographs from the firetrail as overlays then created a b&w and made less opaque ..
then used a NinianLif texture

this is the original to show you the distortion from the lens ..

While I love the long gams in the orig, I love this crop because I really focus on her hands fiddling with the buckle. And the processing is AMAZING! Tones, textures, comp, it all works so well!

ah to be turning 20... if only we knew how precious that time of life is. great photo. she seems a bit indifferent... i guess that's what inspired the 'wotever'?

Wow! The overlay and postprocessing really brings out the differences in light and shadow. The contrasts are really evident in the hair and the dress. The texture overlay really adds to the sense of touch...that this is an old photograph touched by time and the elements.

Let me first say the original is very different from this one. But they both show what a beautiful daughter you have. And 20? You surely dont look old enough to have a daughter that age, she must be adopted right? :D
