Shoulda used a frog. :P Great job, Lydia. I think only a few minor things kept this from at least top 20: (IMO) the crop, colors a tad flat, some specs. You could have overcome all of that if the turtle was maybe smoking a cigarette or something cool like that. Heeheee.

Gorgeously cute and great idea. I would have liked to have seen the egg shell in full though.

That may be one of the cutest turtle pics I've ever seen. :) The detail and lighting on him is excellent. Part of me almost thinks he looks too good to be a real turtle. lol I would've liked to have seen the rest of the egg in the shot, though, and the lighting on the egg shells is off to me. The right side is very bright and the left side is kind of an off/splotchy color. It looks like pieces from two different eggs.

Wow! I had a turtle that size when I was 12 and lived in Greece for three years! Boy this picture brought some fun childhood memories! Great shot and a creative idea!

Turtle. No egg. No turtle. Yeah turtle. Final answer.

I like your subject. This turtle doesn't have the colours that the recent frogs shots have, but you've complimented it with a neutral grey surface. This brings out the egg shell nicely. 7

Ok, I've thought about it. Egg
