 This is a photo of a fiber-optic-color-changing lamp with lots of fibers. I punched out a star in a black paper disk and held it in front of my 50mm f/1.8 II. When I focused on the interior fibers near the light source the pin points of light at the end of the fibers became bokeh, but instead of the round shape they become stars. Cool huh! I got the idea from HERE.

In photoshop I cropped, adjusted color a few times, Shadow/highlight, dodge/burn, and I forget what else. I played with it until I liked the balance of color and tones

Nice concept but I think this image is crying out for at least one element to be in sharp focus - if only to emphasise the bokeh of the rest of the image.
