Photographer’s Notes
Every year at Christmas, I take photos of ornaments, usually macros, because they capture the simplicity of Christmases I remember as a child. Here’s one of this year’s batch.

I know this is cliché, and I expect there will be many like it, but maybe this will be a good one among the crowd.

Like the camera choice.

I think what might have improved the comp would have been to include a subject to add to the ornament. Something like the 1st and 2nd place finishers did. But then you would have had to change the title.

Probably my favorite of the tree ornament shots thus far (and there have been lots in this and other challenges). Beautifully exposed and terrific sharpness and textures.

good shot, bulb a little to centered...a little tighter cropping on the right...but a nice shot...

I'm not entirely sure I like the yellow-greeny colors, but I realize from personal experience that christmas tree colors can be difficult to perfect... I was going practically insane the other day trying to white-balance! :D You achieved a much nicer shot than the ones I ended up with, especially since the lighting and focus are so superb. Great work! :)
