A fearless bighorn ewe hurtles down the mountainside. MacGregor Mountain, near Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, CO.

I also captured several images of mature rams lurching down the rock wall. But, none of them ever completely left the ground, like the fearless ewe. Sorry for the feet in the upper left corner, but it is Basic editing, so cloning out not allowed. And, the ewe was running with her flock, so it's not unnatural to have her in close proximity to her sisters.

I had a previous capture of light & shadows in the aspen grove. It was technically excellent, but would not have been appreciated by the masses. So, the leaping ewe trumps the chaos shadows in the aspen grove.

Love the peek of feet in the upper left...nice catch. I'd be curious to see this in B&W...it'd really emphasize all those glorious textures.

Very confusing trying to figure out exactly what is where in this picture.

I like the end effect though. The yellowish tint also makes it feel more natural in this case.

Looks like it's hovering! The shadow here is a little distracting as it removes the contrast from the left side of the head.
