 This is of course Canyonlands National Park in Utah. I am not very original here: this is a standard (but still incredible) view through Mesa Arch, with La Sal mountains in the background some 40 miles away.

edited on a laptop while on the road, and it shows...

I gotta say finishing one spot ahead of this photo makes me feel pretty good about my shot. This is a really cool picture. Probably should have placed higher than mine.

This place looks so familiar even thaw I’ve never been there. It is on my top of the list places to visit this year. I agree, editing on a laptop sucks, but it’s a great shot anyway. Happy New Year!

I love the optical illusion!!! Works as a very well composed abstract: colours and light I remember only from dreams, almost jewel-like and tactile.

Mesa Arch -- what an awesome place! We took a trip out West this summer, and this was definitely one of my favorite vantage points. Interesting to see what it looks like in the winter!

Very nice subject and point of view. I like that you've included some foreground rock and snow. Focus and clarity are very good. But there's a distracting optical illusion here. The light rocks in the background "appear" to be in front of the darker rock of the arch. It really bothers me.

Beautiful! I miss the American West. No place like it I know of. Nice framing and composition. Not sure but some colors seem odd.
