I'm very happy with the reactions. I'm very happy with the photo. I saw a cow and a bull as we were driving past them and skewsme stopped the car so I could take some pictures of them. I saw this photograph taking shape before I ever looked through the viewfinder. I was snapping away and then she fit her nose into that little notch. I couldn't believe it. Rarely do I see the finished photograph before I take the picture, but this was one such case.

...just so you know - I printed and taped this photo to my dashboard to remind me to stop and take the photos I see when I am driving around.

You're lucky, cows like you.

Snugged. All the boxing in reverberates creating quite an energy, partially alleviated by the textures. And there is a cow who knows more than we think. Your notes speak well of how real things happen.

Big Don! I thought I commented on this one. As you probably know, I'm a sucker for high contrast B&W. This is one of those images that's hard to stop looking at.

This makes my heart ache and my tummy hungry.

Such a startling sight, snugged in alongside all this savage geometry. There even appears (as your title suggests) to be a cutout for the nose. Many will be sentimental about this, but the animal is in quite good condition; just cold. It's a good and unusual photograph.

Rectangles form an interesting pattern, but otherwise, there's little to hold my interest.

I'm really diggin' the lines of the barn, they really make this special.

For some reason this almost hurts my heart. The poor thing looks old and tired. As a photograph, this rocks. Horizontals, verticals, spaces, not, and the foreground of snow leading up to it all.
