I've come back to look at this several times now and only just realized I never left a comment... An exquisite composition, with an exceptionally effective use of soft focus.

Any words I could say would pale in comparison to the feeling this image invokes in me...but I will say those tones rock!

Sweet! Love detail and the LB effect on the piano keys.

Oh wow. What a classic not only visually but musically. I love Chopin's famous piece. WOW - this picture is a stunner. Going to favs.

I think I actually gasped when I opened this image this morning. Ubique knows me well. And the title...one of my all time favorite Sonatas. I remember being so excited when my piano teacher placed the sheet music before me telling me I was to learn it for the next recital since I was a peevish enough girl to play the piece with the proper emotion. It all comes back so clearly now...what a grand lady she was, and how lucky I was to learn under her.

This has such a wonderful glow in the highlights, and deep, delicious shadow tones. I really like how the blur of the piano keys gives the sense of soft music being played.

Thanks for all the great comments! It took quite a few shots to get one with a sharp sweet spot.
I think the Composer is going to be replacing the 2.0! :o)

OK, that's it. I'm canceling my Lensbaby order. This is just too good. I LOVE what this did to the piano keys, and what a perfect title! Truly gorgeous.

I want to take this picture, but I can't find the sweet spot yet. Maybe by the end of the month I'll figure it out. Beautiful shot. I love it.

Nice? I didn't even think it was Lensbaby till I scrolled down and saw the bottom. Really nice moody still life.

I agree 100% with Bear. Plus I really like the duotone.

A lovely, elegant photograph. Our den-mother RKT is going to love this! I do as well.

The use of a deep, silken void separating the relatively well focused rose from the radically unfocused piano keyboard is a sublime touch. Tones are perfect. This is quite simply superb.
