Jorge De Sousa's photo 'Love is... Flying into your arms' is undoubtedly the most romantic photo I've seen since Sailor kissing girl in Times Square. I feel kind of guilty posting this to a challenge but it seems to fit the challenge topic. Wish I would have brought a different lens to this shoot, I barely had enough room to set the camera up since the wall behind where I set my tripod up was so close. I brought a studio light and set it up on the right to fill the shadow in as much as I could. The sun was pretty harsh that day.

Hmm, never thought I would ribbon with a 6.1xxx. Still very grateful for the nice comments and recognition. The models are myself and my girlfriend Jessica. I had no intention in entering this contest, just Jessica had fallen in love with the original photo some time ago and we decided to reenact it. Some other photos from that day:

Sounds like the 24-70mm would've worked better. At 1/250 5.6 you may not need the camera on a tripod, or is there an advantage?

Anyways it's alway part skill, persistance, innovation, along with luck. It turned out great.

Yes Sir thanks for the compliments, the tripod was needed, I had to be in the picture too! I just used a remote to trip the shutter

How did she get up there???!!
Interesting pic. Lower parts of the wall seem over exposed, and kind of dull the magic of the moment.

I like the concept. The lighting seems a bit harsh, which works for you in that you captured a great shadow of the woman, doesn't help her legs/feet stand apart from the stone wall.

I really like this shot. The layout is especially nice, lots of detail but drawing your eyes directly to the couple.

True love is not about the hugs and kisses, the 'I love you's' or the 'I miss you's', but about the how high someone will climb to reach you. You already won this challenge cause you really are a lucky guy.

Very interesting shot, mainly because it makes me wonder how you did this! The color of the sky is weird, though it matches her dress.

Nice tribute, recognized it immediately. The lighting isn't as good as the original though :( The subjects are in too much shadow. I like the overall execution though and that's worth some points.

Haha! Fun tribute. I like the lighting in the original version better, because here it is a little harsh for the conept, but well done and nice location.
