This is a very strong picture Mephisto... The way the shadow over the man's face echoes the mood is something...

This is a very powerful shot, the crumbling building and the man's face in shadow it all works together.

There's a story here...I think the black and white works. I go back and forth about the shadow on his face - typical photography 'rule' would have it not there, but I think it adds to the story the photographer is trying to convey, title aside. I think though, that this could use a little distance - moving a little further away would keep me from feeling so pressed against the scene, unable to tak it all in at once. 6

The wording on the boards "Kosovo" together with the bombed out building in the background gives this image a whole different dimension, meaning and impact.

Oh dear :s There's a story there - interesting the way the guy has his head down and is walking into shadow, it sort of echoes the dark destruction above him :)

the composition, with all the harsh highlights and shadows, does not particularly appeal to me, but the composition is interesting.

nice crisp, clean sharp details with your eye drawn straight to what you want to look at. Love your shadow wok and the details in the crumbling walls, Well done

Interesting shot with a subtle story to it. Great example of photojournalism. I enjoy the black and white but I wonder what the color version looks like. (For comparison sake only)

his face in darkness, the complexity of trees and buildings above, the graffiti providing a sense of location - it tells a story
