Michelle, Ah the memories... the snow down the back of your coat, snow all over your face, in your gloves, the hurt pride, not to mention the constant scene

recreation in your mind, trying to figure out why you didn't fly through the air like a plane coning in for a landing. Was there sabotage, was there foul play, was

there a sibling involved in this scenario and were they smiling happily as they watched this scene unfold? No matter, your photograph says it all, what ever this

young man thought was going to happen, how ever grandiose, came crashing down along with his pride.

Great capture.

All the best to you and yours.

MAX!

Good one, Michelle! The exposure on the subject is perfect. I like the b&w treatment. I disagree with others about removing the background people, though for me something about the strong blur (bokeh?) over the subject's head almost hurts my eyes.

I suggest to the court that this snowball was not acting it's own. There was a greater conspiracy going on here and a mystery snowball thrower that has not yet been identified. But don't worry, we've got "CSI: Duluth"™ on the case.

this would be a really amazing image if the two figures were not in the back right.

A good look on his face and I like the black and white tones - would this maybe have been better in colour though? A tighter crop may have been better too. Good focus and nice processing.

Black and whites fits really good here, well done.

PS, not voting on this challenge, just commenting on some pictures :)

Not sure if he's angry or having fun! A very cute photo, works well in B&W.

Exuberance well-captured. Nice job with exposure in a setting with a challenging dynamic range. Cropping to remove the rear end of the person bending over would help, but leave the leg and arm with gloved hand of the other person so as not to eliminate the element of context. Seven.
