Aperture: 4.0

Stratchona Park camping trip, British Columbia. Only used paintbrush/airbrush tool to spot edit some floating residue in the lake near the boat, increased saturation slightly and decreased brightness in sky. This is the first time I visited the area, so it was a new subject for me. Also, I haven't done a lot of work photographing reflections. It was such a perfect and still morning, I thought it would be a good time to try.

a tad too dark in forefront. otherwise, a stellar picture and worthy of a top-3 spot. i'd be interested in this for my gallery. 8/10

christina, this is a stunning image! the colors are simply incredible. it's not often that nature presents us these opportunities; i'm glad you were there to take advantage of it.

from a composition standpoint, it doesn't appear that the near sky has too much to offer. with that in mind, in situations like this, you might want to angle for more foreground and less sky; this would also keep the horizon from splitting the image in the middle.

another thing to keep in mind to really nail these shots are your settings. i'm not sure of the range available on the camera you shot this with, but with your current camera, i can only begin to imagine how this would have turned out with aperature at F10 and a shutter near 100.

(just for grins, another shot that might have been fun would be to have moved to the left and turned the camera sideways for a portrait shot that really focused on the rope and the boat.)

thanks again for sharing a beautiful image. i'm glad it did so well for you.

I really like all the blues in this shot -- you've captured them with such a deep dof that pulls my eye through the shot. One of my favorites this challenge -- minor distraction is the motor -- I'm not sure why but could be that it interupts the nature? breaks the reflection? I think it would be better cloned out.

This is simply amazing. You were VERY lucky to get the water as still as it is in the photo. On top of that, you have perfect reflections of the sky and mountains. I am jealous I can't get images like this. :) 10

I don't know, might have turned the boat the other direction, nice shot though.

This is a very pretty scene, and the boat gives it a focal point that really makes the composition.

A very peaceful image - that lake is so still. Colors are nice but you've lost a lot of detail in the shadows on the right side.

What happens if you lighten up the photo? Seems a little dark. Love the reflection

The stumps on the right are a bit too dark, so it's hard to make out exactly what they are. Otherwise a very nice shot!

Very beautiful photograph. Wish I lived around there. A little dark for me, I like photos with more color and light in them, but it is still a wonderful photo.

What beauty!!!! I adore the blues here. Crisp, sharp reflection, sky and distant hills. Excellent score for me!

I wish more detail was in this image...the left side dominates and I'd give it a higher numbe, but maybe i am missing the point...lemme stop arguing with myself and give you a score...

The left hand is a bit dark, but I am just saying that because I am jealous.. 9

I'd crop the right side out - maybe leave a bit of the mountains, but create a vertical composition. All those forms in the shadows are just distracting. I like all the blues and the sweep of the horizen,

A really good landscape shot here, seems a little dark in places, could do with being made lighter. I like how you've captured it with the water looking perfectly still.

what is in the water, and no not the boat, are those tree trunks
