Philosophically and artisticly I must be blind as I am unable to see the opposites you are referring to here... I do like the contrast and the rich blue color of the sky here. I would like to know how you accomplished such a rich tone of blue.

I like your idea. It's well shot too. A thought to possibly improve...See if you can get a shot thru the window of the construction cranes, I think it would really have impact. Of course, that may not be possible too. Good effort, 10

nice shot. what i like about this shot is that i know you had this challenge on your mind while walking down the street, and when you noticed this old building with the new building in back, you saw the opposition.

The depth of field doesn't work for me. The blurred tower in the background comes across as distracting from the otherwise sharp architecture.

Good idea for this challenge! Your arrangement of the two subjects splits the screen in half helping to make your point of the opposing forces going on: new/old, clean/dirty, sterile/overgrown, building/disintegrating... Greater depth of field would bring that tower into the picture just a bit more. And, perhaps, getting in closer (if possible) would better frame the tower shown through the window. Overall, a fine picture.

What a sad comintary on our times, that beautiful old building left to decay. hmph.Nice exposure. I think I would shift the composition a little so that the brick building was in 2/3 of the photo.7

Good eye for detail...this would have passed most of us by!

This is a great idea and you could of pulled it off if the sky wasn't so grainy. I love the shadows on the brown building. I'm going to give it a six. Would of been higher only for the grain.
