 A single tree near the beach. Not a very tree-friendly environment. The dark hole under the tree is almost like a shadow. Colors and light weren't very interesting, so I switched to B&W.

I love the subject. I feel like the pic isn't as sharp as it could be - perhaps it's just compressed from sve to web or perhaps it's the PP? Wish it were sharper. I also think the tree would pop more if you use the blank background of the sky more than the busy backdrop of the land - perhaps a lower angle.
