Great Shot Jon. I think the only subtle things that you could have done differently were about balance; the crop and where the light drops off etc are flawless (except for a little 'noise' at the bottom in the middle which is either a reflection off your trousers or perhaps your...erm...never mind)
Anyhoo the balance thing: if your fingers were more level (specifically the e in love) and the lighting were more even between your hands, the image would have a very symmetrical and appealing look (I know...that's a b**ch in basic editing). I think this has a good shot a being a saleable print now that you can edit until your heart's content.

Looks like I'll be having Sporran and Chips this evening
Crying shame this didnt finish MUCH highter
I'm thinking DPC stands more and more for Digital Photography for Calenders.

| Inky B & W, well lit, Emotional but static, the posing of the model with his hands crossed and head down takes what would be a nice shot and puts it in ribbon land. well done, my only 10 |

| Nicely done black and white portrait. Would like to see a tiny bit more outline of the top of the head. Lighting on the hands is perfect. |

| I like the photograph, but it doesn't really depict the opposites of love and hate. It depicts the different words. The shot is technically a good one...I like the framing, the pose, and the lighting (maybe just a tad dark). |

My second run through the challenge images and I've re-evaluated this image. I've now made it joint top with one other image.
This is a very strong image indeed, the lighting especially gives it power.

| Beautiful. One of my favorites. Nice contrast. Good DOF. I really like. I'm a B&W freak and this is one of the best digital representations of black and white photography I've seen. It just never seems to have the contrast and tonality of film, but you have it here. 10 |
