I remember seeing this one in a challenge, and thinking "This looks like Silver Springs but it's short on flowers". The light on the columns adds a lot of interest, and the palm trunks repeating the vertical element of the columns is good too.
The one leaning palm behind the left column sort of disturbs the vertical line of the column in some way, and at the same time, gives the edge of the column something solid in the B G to define it. It's a complex picture, and there are a lot of elements that seem to be not exactly working in unison to bring out a strong subject or make the viewer's eye move through it to a subject. It's a good scene to study. The bright sky in the B G probably dinked the score pretty hard since it was in a F S challenge.

This is a lovely shot with wonderful tones. In my opinion, deserving of so much more than 5.1299

nice black and white, I wish there were more to the comp, its kinda cut off and not really showing anything but some pillars, lighting is good, but highlights are a tad bright.

Since you asked... ;)

IMO, you've captured the BW tones nicely. Without your title, I wouldn't think solitude but that's just my 2 cents. It would have been cool to have the legs of a person sticking out from behind the column...

Great shot, almost ghostly lighting

I like the composition and there are lots of interesting elements in this image. The dark foreground and the tree on the right seem to put a darkness into the image that makes it less appealing than it could be if there were a different crop.

I like the lighting on the columns and the setting in the trees, not so sure bout the sort of blown out background area

The amount of whites and blacks are balanced, but the contrast just seems a little over done. Some of the detail has been lost.

I like the composition, but I think the lighting on the columns is a little too harsh. I can't tell if they are lit from behind or not, but maybe a little more shadow would make it not such a sharp contrast from the foliage.

Love the Pillars, and the lighting
