 A different perspective of the Singapore Flyer. Currently the largest observation wheel in the world. Goes 1 full circle in 30 minutes. Approx. 165m tall with a wheel diameter of 150m. Designed by a Japanese designer/architect.
FWIW , I still prefer the London Eye over the Singapore Flyer. Well I mght just change my mind if this gets a major feature in the Fantastic Four franchise(ust kidding) like the London Eye in Fantastic Four - Rise of the Silver Surfer. Man the Surfer is the coolest character IMHO.

Big incident , where the wheel failed to turn for more than 4 hours in late Dec08 due to a power failure from a fire.
Tourists were trapped for 4 hours withour aircon (for at least 3hrs). An extremely embarassing situation for Singapore. They stopped the entire operations for almost a month and started operating 26th Jan.

Shot with my Sigma 12-24mm @13mm focal length
HDR composite of a single image. Shot was also rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise to get more impact with the crop that I selected.
Am I taking a risk of submitting this shot for a DPC FS ??? I love it and Andrewt is NOT going to be just known for just bird shots. Lets see if I can do well in DPC by going out of my comfort zone. I plan to submit 12 different themes for this year's FS. All right guys/gals give me your best votes !!! LOL!!

brilliant eye catching image andrew ..
i should try and get out of my comfort zone but i doubt i'd do as well as you .. !!
might be over a year out of date but congrats on a great place in the fs .. :)

A unique take on an oft photographed subject - makes for a thoroughly interesting photo. Impresses with the tone-mapping - works particularly well for this particular image.
