 Taken while downhill skiing at my local ski resort - 10 minutes from my house. My main subject is probably more white than gray so I don't expect too much from this.

Thanks a million for all the votes and comments!! I never thought this would finish in the top 10. I am very happy that it did though :)

I used my wife's Canon 350 andher 10-22mm for this since my own camera is way too bulky to use while downhill skiing. The place may look desolate but I was actually surrounded by many skiiers as I took this. The ski lift building on the top of the hill was right behind my back.

Wow, what an amazing scene! I love it! Including the sun in the shot is something I love as well. Some dirty burnt look in the cloud around the sun unbalances it.

I love this!!
The soft tones across the snow and the trees lnes up in the background are great with the brightness and clearness of the foreground tree. Love the masked sun almost like a spotlight in the sky just to show that tree.

I would hang this on my wall!

This has the feel of artificial blurring, but of course I can't know for sure. Funny thing is, artificial or not, something moved me, and when my first reaction is a "Woah, nice", that nails you a 9.
