 I don’t have any pets of my own so I decided to submit a photo of someone else’s pet (hopefully that still meets the challenge). This Eastern Screech-Owl was photographed at a birds of prey demonstration this past Saturday at Brazos Bend State Park (just outside of Houston, TX). The owner of the bird is Doris Mager and from watching her work with the birds it is obvious that she cares a great deal for them and for preserving birds in general.

I know that this photo isn’t all that creative nor does it pop out at you but to my eyes this bird is very cute and full of personality. Hopefully at least some of you enjoy it.

Owl´s are my favorite birds in the whole... we don´t have many in Iceland butð this one is very beutiful.

The background is a bit boring... and I would have cropped out that bit of purple something in the bottom, but it's amazingly sharp and well composed, espeically being handheld. My hand would shake too much to get a sharp photo. Good for you. 7
