I don't think I've experienced many clear days in SF. It was spectacular and I could have spent hours in the city but my time was short. I was captivated by the breaking waves with wind spray. They were very green! The bridge may be one of the most photographed in the world and I'm sure my angle isn't original--but I like how the landscape dwarfs the GG bridge. I did get soaked to my knees!

Normally I shoot RAW, not sure why I had switched to jpg.

Processing was pretty basic-mostly localized curves and contrast adjustments to bring out the colors. Gradient to darken the sky, and some selective dodge and burn on the waves, cliffs. USM or sharpen filter. Here is the original, resized only.

I apologize for the mind searing color--I just can't help myself. :)

Congrats on a stunning photograph and a very good title to go with it. I like both versions (and I don't think the colors are overdone) - I do like the green of the water in this one and I like the visual impact of the B&W. Lovely work as always!

GREAT perspective of Golden Gate. Where is this? Impressive wide angle, great lines with the foam and the clouds, although the bridge is almost lost. Would have loved to have the red brought out just a little more.

I quite like this as the golden gate is usually shown from a different perspective. Very nice composition.
