I used to live in Witsand at the mouth of the Breede river and that strech of coastline looks just like this and I was often to be found there fishing at low tide just like the fisherman in your image.
Now live in Holland but boy do I get homesick some times.

If you look closely, you'll see Table Mountain in the background. Maybe it was that that caught your eye :)

Didn't see this during voting but I really like it. Beautiful tones and no overbright spots you normally get in sunsets/sunrise shots. The placement, sharpness and size of the fisherperson really caps it off.

Congrats on the top ten and on a new high score for you. Terrific image, like an alien landscape but grounded by that lone fisherman way in the back.

Beautiful shot. I can especially identify with it as I myself am a very keen rock and surf angler and when I still lived in South Africa I was often to be found in spots just like this with my rod and reel. Wading out across the rocks at low tide to get to my favorite spot and cast into a deep gully where the big ones lurk. 8

The colors, textures, impeccable. The lighting on the left side drew my eye to the fisherman despite the amazing rocks in the forefront. Great job.

the foreground on this is spectacular. Love the texture of the rocks and the reflection in the water.
