 Inspired by my own shot that I took a while ago. So kudos to you who guessed it was me ;)
I did try to shoot this in b/w to get the tones in that shot above but it just didn't work out. The lighting was a bit tricky. Wanted to get some freezing water movement with regular house bulbs and keep the tags looking good too. I had an outtake with 4 teabags, each tag on its own string, all in one cup but it looked too busy. This was the alternative.

Wish the idea came into my mind sooner. I imagined it a little differently than what you see here. But insisted on working on it till the last minute. Actually wasn't happy with it but time ran out and very pleasantly surprised it did so well. Glad you folks enjoyed viewing the image. This is the kinda shot I enjoy pondering about.

An outtake which I was a split second away from posting
Rollover ruined my plan ;) but who knows as you folks might like the posted version better? I know the handle being overly blending into the background in the posted take cost me some points. A tricky point with certain overly bright displays.

Hi Techo congrats on the ribbon. Good setup and technique. But since I don't like setups much, I only gave it a five and that was for the fine technique. It's very competitive here; so I don't expect to ribbon myself especially without trying setups.

But isn't photography creativity? After all what have you done here...? I like the colours you have chosen. I like the setup and the moment you've chosen to release the shutter. Did you take a series and choose one or was it just a one off shot? Well done for the thinking that's gone into it.

innovative, creative, and over all a very well done shot. i really like the fact that all these different "teas" are really one blended together. great idea, and execution. I would have liked the handle not to disappear into the background. otherwise excellent.
