What an amazing view at the pollen spreading ability of these bees and how important they are to agriculture. Great detail. You must have used extension tubes to get so close or a really great macro lens!

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1124 images, I gave 15 of them a 10. Your image was one of those 15.

Lots of bug macros in this challenge, but this one is simply awesome! How on earth do you even begin to set up for a shot like this? I don't think I've ever seen such a brilliant bee close up, the definition was superb. I actually voted this a 9 originally, but as I came to comment on it, felt that in fact it deserved a 10.

It's hard to predict the top 10, never mind the ribbons with so many entrants, but this has got to be a contender. Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

So educative macro, it's amazing to see all the details with that quality.
It's fascinating to see an example of symbiosis.
Your photo is really eye catching, the only points I think could be improved are the noise in the right side of the flower and the halo.
But I'm not picky, I just try to be constructive, this photo is a 10 for me.
Good luck !

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. HOLY MOLY! I am floored with the level of details I see on the great macro. I can clearly see the pollen clustered all over this bee's legs and body. The detail does not stop there but I see all the hairs on the legs to the bumpy texture around it's compound eyes. Love the title too which is a clever play on the visual of the bee (B) holding onto the flower petal (/) in the shot itself. Ah, nuts, here comes the critique, everybody has got to be a critic right;-) ...My only critique is that I wished we were able to see more of the full body of the bee complete with the wings in the composition. That way we can appreciate all the intricate and interesting detail of this insect.
