Appropriate atmosphere lent by the fog. Bare tree branches add a bit more to the stark look.
03/17/2009 06:16:58 PM
Wow, this is emotive, I like the way the lines all work in this composition.
03/17/2009 01:29:18 PM
Really good leading lines, and I like your choice of black and white.
03/17/2009 06:28:47 AM
Nice play of light in this well composed scene.
03/17/2009 04:49:19 AM
A great tribute. Thank you!
03/16/2009 10:50:51 PM
The mist adds a lot to the shot, as does the monochrome and tangled branches in comparison with the straight lines of headstones.
03/16/2009 05:41:31 PM
Solemn. As it should be. Good job on the processing.

Good idea, the trees break the lines of tombstones too much
03/16/2009 01:49:32 PM
Great job capturing the mood of Arlington. It is so overwhelming to look at, you did a great job.
03/16/2009 04:03:28 AM
Well captured and presented.
03/15/2009 09:07:55 PM
The mist adds to this somber shot. Well taken.
03/15/2009 08:46:27 PM
shortening the title to "Arlington" would make it more complementary, but i like the fog
03/15/2009 04:07:12 PM
Really like this with the light fog, adds a definate sense of a reverant atmosphere
03/15/2009 03:49:09 PM
I like the mist in this image and the branches reaching across the frame.
03/15/2009 03:25:44 PM
Nice perspective, great mood achieved.
03/15/2009 12:16:01 PM
Nice angle with the tree and rows of tombstones.
03/15/2009 12:09:57 PM
toning is a good choice her, misty time of day gives the mood, nicely done
03/15/2009 11:54:21 AM
the fog of ages, very poignant 7
03/15/2009 10:30:47 AM
Very nice image. It's good to see a few "great" images. This is a perfect reflection of your abilities as a photographer.
03/15/2009 06:41:54 AM
excellent perspective, the fog/mist works well here. A tad too much trees, 7
03/15/2009 05:58:40 AM
like to see this from another perspective
03/15/2009 05:15:11 AM

The mist really adds to this photo, so do the bare tree branches.
03/14/2009 11:17:45 PM
nice image
03/14/2009 09:13:49 PM
The slight fog really makes this. Very emotive.
03/14/2009 08:10:28 PM
Subject or idea? More is less.
03/14/2009 05:23:32 PM
Nice capture, spooky and serene at the same time.
03/14/2009 11:17:15 AM
profound...let me just rest here a moment and contemplate life...and the shortness that this represents....excellent tones
03/14/2009 10:55:33 AM
The fog is nice. The tree in the foreground is a little distracting.
03/13/2009 04:12:20 PM
the shooting viewpoint is probably too high, if you photographed this scene from a lower point you could emphasize the tombstones and get rid of that branch on the left side. the mist makes a proper atmosphere for a cemetery
03/13/2009 02:47:25 PM
Excellent perspective and good contrasting lines. Nice use of darks and lights!
03/13/2009 01:56:29 PM
I love everything about this! 9
03/13/2009 10:59:54 AM
A sombre subject given a sombre feel with the foggy lighting but I would have preferred it without the foreground tree branches
03/13/2009 10:26:55 AM
Nice in B&W
03/13/2009 09:43:25 AM
wow, looks like they go on forever!
03/12/2009 06:59:42 PM
nice job on creating leading lines, they seem to pull you right in.
03/12/2009 03:28:38 PM
the fog gives this a haunting feeling which I think works well here
03/12/2009 02:29:46 PM
Sets a mood quite nicely, well done!
03/12/2009 11:08:20 AM
I like this in bw. I also like the "foggy morning" feeling it has. Even as a photograph, it seems to command silence and respect. It seems to need a bit more black, I think, as it looks grayish on my monitor -- especially the tree limbs.
03/12/2009 10:11:40 AM
Certainly a great capture - Including the trees and the hill and .. Well nice work.
03/12/2009 09:46:04 AM
This is a powerful place. It affected me strongly when I was there. Nice shot.
03/12/2009 07:47:45 AM
good bw conversion and love the way lines converge at the thirds point
03/12/2009 12:35:05 AM
great mood, i think it could be more powerful if you changed the perspective, and gotten lower to the ground
03/11/2009 10:56:08 PM
the mists make it haunting. I like the framing, but I wish it were only one tree branch.
03/11/2009 10:33:07 PM
The bare trees add a sense of sadness to this shot.
03/11/2009 08:10:08 PM
Nice job. The misty feel is ethereal.
03/11/2009 04:50:00 PM
Very moving. A view not often scene of this cemetary. The horizontal boughs really work well juxtaposed to the rows of headstones. The lighting is wonderful, the tone spot on. High finish for this.
03/11/2009 03:44:21 PM
Few if any photos of Arlington I have ever seen, approach the meaning you have managed in this image..
03/11/2009 11:22:50 AM
The ground fog and bare tree branches really adds to this sad image.
03/11/2009 09:00:25 AM
The misty atmosphere fits very well with the subject.
03/11/2009 08:28:48 AM
I like the fog but I think it needs more contrast. Its nice tho!
